Hi, I’m Grace Leeswadtrakul. I make music under the name Grace Chari. Chari means “grace” in Greek. It started as a project name I shared with my sister and eventually became my own.

I’m a singer, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York. I grew up in Bangkok, where my mom always had The Carpenters, the Bee Gees, Phil Collins, and Lionel Richie playing at home.

Those early sounds still shape my music today: indie pop with synth-pop textures, soft vocals, and a touch of ’80s nostalgia.
More about me

I’ve been playing piano since I was four and was classically trained for years. Later on, I picked up drums too. But I didn’t really fall in love with making music until three years ago, after an accident left me unable to walk for three months. I was stuck at home, frustrated, and needed something to focus on. That’s when I started learning production, and it completely took over my life in the best way.
Since then, I've been learning everything I can: composition, arrangement, vocal production, mixing. I produce and mix all my own songs now.

Music gave me something to hold onto during a really hard time, and now I want to make music that does that for someone else. Still learning and exploring every day!
